What is the World Guitar Record? The annual guitar festival is most of all an occasion for collective play, meetings and exchange of experience, and during this event, an attempt to break the Guinness record is made.

Adam Palma, referred to as the Chopin of the guitar, and Krzesimir Dębski, an outstanding conductor and composer, have joined the group of artists to play at the World Guitar Record in Wrocław on 19 June. One of the highlights of the duo's performance will be Stevie Wonder's famous hit You Are The Sunshine Of My Life.

Adam Palma was going to make an appearance at last year's online edition of the World Guitar Record, but the coronavirus thwarted those plans. 'I am thrilled that Adam Palma will join us for the Guitar Record. Last year he was taken ill with coronavirus and spent several weeks under a respirator. During the festival we were all sending him healing energy. It worked! We are therefore all the more happy that he will be with us this year – safe and sound,' says Leszek Cichoński, the founder of the Record.

Adam Palma is a Polish guitar virtuoso and a Doctor of Musical Arts. He has performed with the world's most eminent acoustic guitarists, including Al Di Meola, Tommy Emmanuel and Bireli Lagrene. In Poland, he has collaborated with virtually every major artist on our home music scene, such as Ewa Bem, Leszek Możdżer and Kuba Badach. Although for many years now he has been living in the UK where he teaches guitar at the University of Manchester, he was honoured with the title of the Best Polish Acoustic Guitarist at the GUITAR AWARDS gala in Warsaw. Adam has released 4 solo albums which have received fantastic reviews in guitar magazines across the world. The Guitar Player magazine featured his piece Rheged on the main page of their website in June 2017. His latest album Adam Palma Meets Chopin is the world's first recording of Frédéric Chopin's music on acoustic guitar and has earned Adam recognition from critics and reviewers, as well as the nickname the Chopin of the guitar.

Together with Krzesimir Debski, Palma will perform two pieces – Palma Blues and Stevie Wonder's famous hit You Are The Sunshine Of My Life.

Krzesimir Dębski is a composer, conductor, jazz violinist, arranger and music producer.
