WE KEEP ON PLAYING
This is the message impatiently awaited by thousands of guitarists and guitar fans in Poland and across the world. All the more, we are very excited to invite you to join us on 1 May 2021 and perform together as the World's Greatest Guitar Orchestra conducted by Leszek Cichoński, in an attempt to set a new World Guitar Record.
We will put all our efforts into creating the most beautiful guitar festival – and we are counting on your help to make it happen.
WE PLAY LIVE
Last year, the Online World Guitar Record brought together 7,998 guitarists. Still, we are aware that nothing can replace the unique atmosphere created by thousands of instruments playing together, so after a one-year break we invite you again to the Wrocław Market Square, so beloved by guitar players.
WE STAY SAFE
We have many years of experience in organising major music events, also in challenging conditions. In September 2020, we held an open-air Last Minute Summer Festival for the audience of several thousand people in compliance with all Covid-related restrictions. The safety measures taken at the event and our collaboration with the sanitary services have been recognised by the Wrocław authorities as exemplary in the time of a pandemic.
Our guitar celebrations on 1 May will be held in accordance with existing sanitary regulations, respecting the necessary restrictions. Throughout the event we will follow the slogan DISTANCE – DISINFECTION – MASK. Depending on the restrictions in force, the number of participants at the Wrocław Market Square may be subject to certain limitations, which is why we encourage you to join us online.
WE PLAY ONLINE
All guitarists who will not be able to make it to Wrocław are warmly invited to join the guitar orchestra online. No matter where you are – at home, in the garden, in the mountains or on the high seas – please join us online so we can play the iconic Hey Joe by Jimi Hendrix together. Remember that every guitar counts. Each guitarist involved – live or online – will receive a Record Holder Certificate and will appear on the official 2021 World Guitar Record Participants List!
